GVM Check is here to give you peace of mind. GVM Check can use your vehicle & trailer, caravan or 5th wheelers specification’s and compare it against the actual loaded weights using accurate portable vehicle scales. Not staying within the manufacturer’s specifications can affect your insurance, warranty and safety.

How do we do it?

GVM Check compares your tow vehicle, caravan, trailer or 5th wheeler manufacturer’s specifications against the actual weights on each wheel. We do this by accurately weighing all the load on each of the vehicle’s wheels whilst connected and disconnected from the towed load. We also weigh the load on the towed trailer wheels whilst connected and disconnected from the tow vehicle.

Step One
GVM Check uses a wheel pad weighing system to measure the weight on each wheel while the trailer is attached.

Step Two
Unhook the rig. GVM Check then weighs each wheel of the tow vehicle and the towed trailer – including the jockey wheel(s) or struts .

Step Three
All the weights for all the individual points are entered into our unique software program.

Step Four
Our software compares the stated manufacturer’s specifications to the actual weight of the vehicle and trailer.
